Trust Your Gut: The Power of Instinct to reclaim Your Leadership

Did you Know that the Power of Intuition and Self-Knowing is your Secret Sauce?

Gut check. How do you feel today? Do you feel confident? Are you on top of it?

Or, are you feeling insecure, not sure what to do? How to go about whatever you need to do? Maybe you feel like the shit is hitting the fan? Are you feeling like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders? Everything's falling down? Not sure what's going to happen?

Or, do you feel amazing, solid, confident?

Well, I’m here to tell you today that you

You've got this!

Tired of second-guessing yourself? Sick of seeking validation from everyone but your own damn self? Crea8ves, it's time to trust your gut.

We’ve all been there: feeling the weight of doubt, seeking approval from others, and drowning in a sea of conflicting opinions. I know firsthand the challenge of navigating a boardroom filled with seasoned executives, each with their own agenda. It can be intimidating, even for the most confident leader. Yet, I’ve learned that the most powerful tool at our disposal is often the one we underestimate: our intuition.

I’ve sat across the table from some of the sharpest minds in the industry, feeling the weight of doubt creep in. The pressure to perform, to prove myself, can be overwhelming. Yet I've learned that the most powerful tool in a leader's arsenal isn't a strategic plan or a persuasive argument – it's the quiet voice of intuition.

I’ve been in so many situations where I felt intimidated before I even walked into the room, wondering what they think of me; even so far as to presume they think less of my abilities before I can even show them what I can do. A recent example was where I was consulting a Startup, and was invited to their Board meeting. I had to convince a Boardroom full of senior executives, and financial strategists about how to approach an operational and growth strategy for the company. They didn’t know me well, and I didn’t know what they might think.

What I was able to muster when I walked in to the room, was my own quiet voice of intuition, and self-confidence. I had my own arsenal. I knew I was

  • smart and experienced - I knew what they really needed would work for them as I had seen it work before

  • friendly - I leaned on my natural ability to find the human instinct and started off warm, personable and friendly in my approach

  • a leader - I lent on my years of leadership gravitas, with my chin held high, and my tone confident.

You see, while I didn’t know HOW they would react, I knew that the only thing I COULD CONTROL WAS HOW I COULD ACT.

And the meeting went well. So much so, that I joined their Board as a valued member, and offered my expertise month over month.

My dear crea8ve leader, you possess a unique spark, a fire within that sets you apart. Your intuition is your secret weapon, your compass guiding you through life’s twists and turns. Trust it, nurture it, and let it lead you to extraordinary heights.

Your intuition is your superpower, your secret sauce to making bold moves and crushing goals.

How to tap into your intuition:

  1. Silence the Noise: Turn off the distractions and tune into yourself.

  2. Feel into it. Pay attention to your body’s signals. A gut feeling can manifest as a physical sensation.

  3. Embrace the Unknown. The best adventures start with a leap of faith.

  4. Learn from Your Mistakes. Every misstep is a chance to refine your intuition.

  5. Believe in Yourself. You’ve got this, Trailblazer. Trust your gut and watch your confidence soar.

So, the next time you’re faced with a decision, a challenge, or an opportunity, trust your gut. It’s the key to unlocking your full potential and becoming the leader you were born to be.

Why should you trust your gut?

  • Your Intuition is Your Superpower: It's a subconscious mind that processes information far quicker than your conscious mind.

  • Experience is the Best Teacher: Your past experiences have shaped your judgment. Trust the lessons you've learned.

  • External Validation is Flawed: Relying on others' opinions can lead to analysis paralysis and missed opportunities.

By trusting your intuition, and leaning on your inner -knowing about how f*ing fabulous you are, you'll not only make better decisions but also become a more confident and effective leader.

Remember, the most powerful voice in the room is often your own.

💪🏼 You’ve Got This.
