It's been a rocky road for many to navigate the waters of layoffs, the economy, post pandemic world, and just about anybody I talk to these days wants a sea change. If so, you're not alone. Millions of people around the world feel the same way.

Imagine that for a moment…. It might be really exciting. For me, I've pulled up my anchor BIG time. I'm literally in the ocean, floating with the wind, letting my future come to me. It's scary. But It's exciting. My world seemingly crashed with the death of my mother recently, and a career shift that wasn't my choice, that left me reeling. And then... I started.... to see... clearly.... I decided that the anchor I was so hanging on to for dear life, just wasn't important. What was important was getting connected to my passions again. One of them is writing at theCrea8ve in my side hustle time. And I'm loving it.

Can you imagine waking up every day excited to go to work? Not dragging your ass out of bed, dreading the day ahead? Instead, you're pumped to use your skills and talents to make a positive impact on the world. You're surrounded by people who share your passion and drive.

If you're not feeling that way about your current job→life→circumstance, it's time to make a change. Don't wait for the perfect opportunity to come along. Create your own opportunity. If you have a great idea to start a business, go for it! If you want to follow your passion and do what makes you happy, don't let anyone tell you you can't.

Making a change can be scary, but it's also incredibly rewarding. When you follow your passion, you're more likely to be successful. You'll also be happier and more fulfilled. So what are you waiting for? Start your journey today!

Start by reflecting on your values, interests, and skills.

What are you passionate about? What are you good at? What do you want to achieve in your life? Take some time to think about these questions and get a better understanding of yourself. Once you know what you're passionate about and what you're good at, you can start to explore different career options. There are endless possibilities out there, so don't be afraid to think outside the box. You could start your own business, go back to school, or change industries altogether.

Do your research.

Before you make any major decisions, it's important to learn as much as you can about your desired field. What's out there? Who are you competing against? What makes you/your idea special? There are a lot of resources available to help you do your research, so don't be afraid to ask for help.

Network with people in your desired field.

One of the best ways to learn more about a particular career is to talk to people who are already working in that field. Attend industry events, join online forums, and reach out to people on LinkedIn. You can also find mentors who can help you navigate your career change.

Take some courses or workshops.

If you're serious about making a career change, it's a good idea to take some courses or workshops to get your foot in the door. There are a lot of great options available, so you're sure to find something that's right for you.

Don't be afraid to take risks.

Changing your career can be a scary proposition, but it's important to remember that it's also an opportunity for growth and development. Don't be afraid to take risks and step outside of your comfort zone. You might be surprised at what you're capable of.
