Note to self, "I have enough, I do enough, I am enough. I am amazing."
"I AM Amazing because...." What would you write? Are you living the glass half full or half empty?
Watch above and read on below!
Something happened to me recently where an ordinary person might go, “oh sugar, that’s like a BAD day!”
It just depends on how you approach things, because sometimes you can see the bigger picture and know that you have a really GREAT life,
and you're successful
and your energized
and you have a lot of ideas
and your talented
and you've got a whole future in front of you
and that's the difference between someone who seees the glass half full and the glass half empty.
i prefer to be able to always want to continue to learn and grow and know that inside I’ve got what it takes,
and that’s the difference.
So hold on to that kernel inside and say to yourself YOU ARE AMAZING.
Just say that to yourself in the mirror.
Let’s do the I AM Amazing Exercise
OK, Grab a pencil or pen and a piece of paper RIGHT NOW, and write down
a list of accomplishments you feel you have. Take a minute and internalize your success and understand your abilities. Try and remove any voices whispering in your ear, imaginary or not, on what you think other people think of you - and think about what you feel you are good at. Go for it.
Next try and answer this statement: “I Am Amazing because….”
What would you write? C’mon try it!
And then write 5 more
“I Am Amazing because….”
“I Am Amazing because….”
“I Am Amazing because….”
“I Am Amazing because….”
“I Am Amazing because….”
If you can find someone to say these out loud to, go ahead. Otherwise, find a mirror and say them to yourself. Look yourself in the eye and read out why you are amazing.
“But what if that feels like I’m boasting? My parents always brought me up to be humble and big note myself?”
Did you know that it is NOT boasting if you are saying true facts. If what you are saying actually happened, then you can shout it out to the world. It’s yours to share. You own it.
Many leaders-in-waiting are holding themselves back from really being a successful leader because
you haven’t tapped into knowing how to truly identify and celebrate your accomplishments, both big and small, and be able to communicate them.
your self-confidence and self-esteem are… teetering.
you’re dealing with impostor syndrome and self-doubt.
you are yet to find how to be assertive and advocate for yourself.
you may be in a negative or toxic workplace culture which doesn’t allow you to shine.
If you can write down, EVERY DAY, an answer to this “I AM Amazing….” prompt, I guarantee you that you will begin to flick that critic off your shoulder, speak up more, and stand up for your accomplishments.
Isn’t this amazing?
Shine on passion leader!
